FRED HARVEY NEWS STAND In additon to restaurants, Fred Harvey also operated news stands in conjunction with most restaurants. This news stand is located on the north side of the depot and had windows that opened directly to the passenger tracks. From this facility, newspapers, books, postcards and souvenirs were offered to the rail passengers. Cold drinks and sandwiches were also sold here from metal lined and insulated comparments. He apparently had a publishing company also since many postcards from the early 1900's have Fred Harvey logos and publishing citations. The news stand is currently used as the Museum's gift shop.
